The Air Jordan 9 ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“University BlueÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â is a clean look for Michael JordanÃÆ’¢â‚¬â„¢s ninth signature shoe that draws comparisons to the original ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“UNCÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â or ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“Powder BlueÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â colorway from 1994. Collectors may recall ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“His AirnessÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â suiting up in his old UNC Tarheels team uniform while wearing the OG ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“Powder BlueÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â Jordan 9 for Nike advertisements during his brief hiatus from the NBA in the mid ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Ëœ90s and the ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“University BlueÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â design pays homage to the ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“UNCÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â theme with subtle accents. The upper features a white leather construction with a ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“diamondÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â motif appearing along the medial and lateral sides of the shoe. A speckled black synthetic nubuck mudguard above the black painted midsole breaks up the look. Elsewhere black rubber eyelets and rope laces contrast the white mesh tongue. Branding appears on the form of University Blue ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“23ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â embroidery on the heel and ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“Air JordanÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â on the tongue. Additional ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“UNCÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â inspired accenting can be found on the mini Jumpman emblem on the sole and on the ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“globeÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â insignia on the heel. A black nylon pull tab on the heel and inner bootie lining complete the look of the Jordan 9 ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“University Blue.ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â Release date December 5 2020.
