The Air Jordan 9 ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“University GoldÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â is a January 2021 colorway of Michael JordanÃÆ’¢â‚¬â„¢s ninth signature shoe. Sneaker collectors may find similarities between the ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“University GoldÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â and ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“CitrusÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â colorway that originally debuted in July 2010. Like the ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“CitrusÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â the ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“University GoldÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â makes use of a predominantly neutral design with subtle pops of orange or in this case yellow. ThatÃÆ’¢â‚¬â„¢s where the similarities between the two coveted sneakers comes to an end. The rest of the ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“University GoldÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â displays a black synthetic nubuck construction with a ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“diamondÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â motif appearing along the medial and lateral sides of the shoe. A grey synthetic nubuck mudguard above the black midsole breaks up the look. Contrasting University Gold accents on the liner pull tab and ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“Air JordanÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â branding on the tongue add a subtle but welcoming burst of color to the look. The same yellow hue can be found on the embroidered ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“23ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â branding on the heel and Jumpman insignia on the sole. A mini ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“globeÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â emblem on the back of the shoe finishes off the design of the Air Jordan 9 ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Å“University Gold.ÃÆ’¢â‚¬Â Release date January 30 2021.
